What is an addiction?

adicciones (1).jpg

It is a habit of dangerous behaviors or consumption of certain products, especially drugs, and that can not be dispensed with or is very difficult to do for reasons of psychological or even physiological dependence.
The result is a decrease in the quality of life of the affected person (generating problems in their work, in their academic activities, in their social relationships and / or in their family or couple relationships)

Stages of evolution towards addiction:

  • First: The young man resorts to the drug sporadically and can abandon it if he wishes. It is a good time for an adult protection intervention. Usually the pressure of the group and its personal deficiencies cause consumption to continue.

  • Second: Almost without realizing the consumer becomes addicted. Abuses the drug, tolerates it and suffers from the withdrawal syndrome. You can participate in petty thefts to make money. You can also participate in the distribution of drugs and in payment you get quantities for personal use.

  • Third The dependence is absolute. He can not live without drugs. It can steal and participate in criminal acts to get the chemical.
